Downtown Annapolis Partnership Social Media Education Series

Downtown Annapolis Partnership (DAP) is pleased to announce the next in a series of free Social Media education sessions to be held at 8:30 am, Wednesday morning beginning February 15, 2017,  in Room 4A of the Kinhart Center of First Presbyterian Church.  These education sessions are offered by DAP at no cost.  Sessions are open to all businesses in the City or DAP Volunteers.  This education series is just one of the great benefits of being a stakeholder or member in the Downtown Annapolis Partnership.

The upcoming sessions will focus on Facebook.

These sessions are offered at no charge to any business in the City or DAP Volunteers and will be taught by Heike Heeman, President, IdeaShare Business Coaching.  Please feel free to bring your laptop or tablet to implement what you learn or simply to take notes.  Seating is limited.

IdeaShare Business Coaching

Heike Heemann is the president of IdeaShare Business Coaching. She is passionate about helping others succeed.

Heike assists executives and business owners in finding ways to achieve their personal best at work and beyond. This can encompass developing a strategic plan, updating a marketing strategy, improving leadership skills, matching personal goals with a career plan and more.  

Heike also serves as confidential sounding board, accountability partner and support to ensure implementation.

She holds a B.A. in Spanish from Hood College and a Masters in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. She received her designation as Certified Professional Business Coach from the Professional Business Coaches Alliance.

Her motto is “Strategic ideas for a better business.”

Facebook Demystified - an overview for beginners or those considering signing up for an account

This module is part discussion, part presentation for the true beginner. We'll discuss the basics of what facebook is, why people use it for business and have a discussion about possible reasons for being active on facebook - or not - for the audience in the room. Feel free to bring your laptop for taking notes or to start your personal profile.

Your Facebook Profile - the Basics

This module is for those who may have a personal profile or business page but don't use it a lot. We'll discuss the basics of using facebook for connecting on a personal versus business level.  If you don't yet have a business page or someone else set it up for you and you want to learn the basics, this is the session for you. Feel free to bring your laptop for taking notes or to start your business page.

  • What is the difference between a Facebook profile and a Facebook page? (more details than in Module 1)

Your Facebook page for business

This module is for those who have a basic understanding of a business page and want to expand their knowledge. Feel free to bring your laptop.

  • Step-by-step overview of how to set up a page
  • Toggling between your Facebook business page and your personal profile
  • How to add an event
  • How to get notified when someone likes something on your page or when you’re mentioned

This module is for those who have a basic understanding of a business page and want to expand their knowledge. Feel free to bring your laptop.
